"White Medicine Woman" Pearl |
My first meeting with Pearl was delicate When she started to shed tears It wasn’t me that upset her, but The sadness she’d hidden for years Pearl’s devotion to my Great Uncle Ted Was obvious to even the casual observer When she spoke of him it was evident By the smiles that would come to her
Pearl so loved to talk of Ted And the life they had shared It was wonderful in her memory and I could see how much she cared Although she’d loved her second husband Pearl still missed Ted desperately She was calmer at our next meeting And said she was happy to speak with me
there's more in the book ..............
