Lemmon became a town in 19 & 7 And it adopted a cattleman’s name He was known as G.E. Lemmon and a hundred Years later, it’s name is still the same Right away Frank began homestead’n The land that would be theirs It was 12 miles south of the tent town And close to many rivers
It was a quarter mile north of the Grand River And 160 acres of hard prairie Yet, it was their paradise Even if it was barren of trees It was the same land Where the buffalo did roam In numbers that stagger the imagination They knew they’d found their home
